E.P. Barrus Launches Dial 24/7

E.P. Barrus, the UK’s major distributor of Yanmar and Mercury Marine Engines, has launched a parts portal for its authorized dealers.  It has branded the service Dial 247.  Designed and built by Epitomy Solutions this online catalogue offers Barrus’ dealers live access to stock availability, order entry information, back order status, order history, up to the minute prices and promotional deals as well as the ability to simply order a part.

“Dial 247 demonstrates Barrus’ continuing commitment to providing optimum dealer support,” according to Paul Brownell, Spare Parts Manager at Bicester based E. P. Barrus.  “We recognized that parts related information has a value to our dealers and we wanted to make that value real and accessible,” he continued. “It’s also a great marketing communications mechanism offering a lot of direct promotional opportunities for us.”

The service launched marks the completion of Phase I of the DIAL 247 project starting with the roll out to Yanmar dealers followed by Mariner, Mercury and MerCruiser.  Phase II will cover more franchises and will offer additional features including door to door shipment tracking.
