Hayter, Britain’s leading lawn care equipment manufacturer has launched a new online aftermarket service for its dealers and commercial customers.  Distinctively branded with the Hayter livery this uniquely graphical online parts portal has been developed by Sheffield based Epitomy Solutions.  Epitomy creates web-based aftermarket solutions in the ground care, marine and commercial vehicle sectors.

‘We were looking for a bespoke application through which we could fully represent our brand, both in terms of service features as well as look and feel,’ says Paul Chinnery, Hayter’s Parts Manager.  For example, the new Hayter Parts Portal will have an advanced search for commercial dealers,  the ‘my machine’ button, where one click will bring up the individual parts specification for each individual Hayter machine.  ‘This and other search features on the portal mean that order errors will be significantly reduced offering a significant and fast ROI for us’, continued Paul Chinnery.

‘Web based applications offer real efficiency gains including multiple user access to a common aftermarket database’ say Epitomy’s Andrew Vernon.  ‘Future plans are for the portal to provide systems interoperability with Hayter’s ERP allowing end users to instantly ascertain stock availability’, he continued. 

Epitomy Solutions won the contract with Hayter from the US based incumbent Arinet.  ‘Epitomy offered us a more bespoke solution, greater integration potential and a stronger feature range,’ says Paul Chinnery.  ‘The service creates a bespoke Hayter branded relationship and experience for each individual user.  We pride ourselves on our high product loyalty rates and we need to support this with a high quality aftermarket experience.  I think that customer feedback will be very positive’, he added.
